About the role
Provide comprehensive flight instruction to students at various levels, including private pilot (PPL), commercial pilot (CPL), instrument rating (IR), and ground school instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach students in a variety of aircraft types, including single-engine, multi-engine, and complex aircraft.
- Prepare students for FAA exams and ensure they meet all certification requirements.
- Develop lesson plans and provide regular feedback to students.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all flights and ground sessions.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, record keeping, and student evaluations.
Requirements
- A valid pilot's license and current medical certificate.
- Experience teaching aviation subjects, preferably in a formal educational setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and procedures.
- Passion for aviation and a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved flight training program.
- Current FAA Private Pilot (PPL) and Instrument Rating (IR).
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
