Standardized Patient Trainer

Job Details

Trains standardized patients to participate in the education of medical students and health professionals by portraying cases accurately and supports the teaching, assessment and evaluation of the curriculum as defined by the faculty.

Essential Functions

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Training of standardized patients.
• Maintains database of evaluation cases.
• Affords assistance with case modification.
• Ensures standardized patients have the most current training material.
• Affords assurance of the reliability and validity of cases and checklist items assessing clinical skills.
• Affords assurance of confidentiality of all case materials.
• Affords assurance that exam rooms are appropriately arranged.
• Affords assurance that medical equipment is available and functioning.
• Updates and enters data into the EMS system.
