About the role
Forklift operators, Formula, play a crucial role in supporting America's food distribution system. They ensure the efficient flow of products through the distribution process while adhering to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Locate proper slots on storage racks and set pallets in place using forklift or hand stack items.
- Enter product data and location into appropriate units.
- Count and transport incoming freight to inventory from staging areas, ensuring it is stored in the correct slots on multi-level racks.
- Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders.
- Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and remove outdated/outdated inventory as per company policy.
- Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
- Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move them to the proper storage area with a pallet jack or forklift.
- Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
- Ensure the work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions or acts immediately.
- Review work schedules, perform safety checks on equipment, obtain supplies, and prepare for operations.
- Put on all required personal protective equipment and safety gear.
- Maintain required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
- Work from receiving sheets, computer print-outs, established procedures, and practices, or verbal instructions.
- Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take appropriate action as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area as needed.
- Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries, and complete vehicle inspection checklists.
- Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
- Able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
- Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout the shift.
- Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer, and dry.
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.

Benefits
Competitive pay starting at $22.00-$24.00/hr (includes $1.00 shift differential + up to $2 freezer/cooler differential).

Schedule
Sunday-Thursday, Sunday start: 1:00pm, Monday-Thursday start: 3:00pm, Shift ends when daily work is complete.
