The Vilar Performing Arts Center

The Vilar Performing Arts Center, located in the Beaver Creek Ski Resort, seeks stagehands on a show-by-show basis during busy seasons from July–August and December–March. Positions include loaders, general stagehands, stage electricians, and audio hands.

Responsibilities

• Work across departments as needed
• Shift scheduling is employee-driven; apply for shifts you're available for
• Shifts are 4+ hours minimum, with breaks as needed
• Most shifts are load-ins (morning) or load-outs (evening)
• Some shifts are full-day or show-specific
• “Load in only” and “load out only” shifts are available for most shows
• On-the-job training provided for those with limited experience

Qualifications

• Willing to follow instructions and maintain a safe working environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Able to work long hours and late nights
• Able to adapt to changing circumstances and agendas
• Able to perform a variety of physical tasks, including standing, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and team lifting heavy gear
• Experience in theatrical technology and/or live music production is recommended but not required
• Experience in touring and road houses is recommended but not required

Pay

Starting at $20/hr, based on experience and skills. This is an ongoing part-time opportunity.

Shifts are scheduled based on availability and can vary per performance.
