ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aid during work calls for venue conversions.
- Aid during load-in, show, and load-out calls for the assembly and disassembly of show productions.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Assemble production equipment on stage.
- Construct set pieces, risers, musical equipment.
- Spotlight operation during shows for qualified personnel.
- Aid with video, sound and light production before, during and after shows for qualified personnel.
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment at all times.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all equipment, from both venue and events.
- Be punctual at start times/dates for all assigned and accepted calls; and work until the completion of each call.
- Stand ready to assist the venue Production and Operations departments to meet changing venue needs.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented with organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to operate industry related equipment.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously while exercising judgment and initiative in addressing and completing assigned tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry terms and the ability to operate sound, lighting, audio-visual and other industry related equipment is a plus.
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively listen and take direction from Manager or Designee.
- Must be able to communicate in a clear manner with Production staff and teammates.
- Personable and proactive in completing tasks safely and effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule to produce accurate results and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read, speak, and write English language.
- Ability to utilize two-way radio.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, interacting with multiple departments.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to walk/stand extensively, bend, kneel, climb stairs, balance, and maneuver throughout the various areas and surfaces of the venue.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
- Work inside and outside the building is required and may have some exposure to adverse conditions.
- Must be able to hear and speak to use a two-way radio.
- Work extended and/or irregular hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
