Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Install audio, décor, electrical, lighting, rigging and video equipment used for meetings, performances, events and exhibits to speciation
  • Operates/Monitors all said installed equipment to client/guest satisfaction
  • Strike all equipment to the room/venue’s original default state

Reading and math skills required

Understands various convention exposition, entertainment and audio-visual design layouts

Takes measurements

Can provide safe equipment operation

Works with both internal and external guest/clients

Must be patient

Works with tact and diplomacy

Acquires accurate information

Solves customer concerns within GSR’s Guidelines

Required

  • Required to understand, speak, read and write English
  • Understands all caution and safety information and notices
  • Completes all job assignments
  • Can communicate with other Team Members, guests and clients

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to communicate both oral and written English required
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours and overtime as business needs dictate

Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally sitting and constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
  • Must be able to constantly lift/carry and push/pull up to 50lbs or less.
  • The team member will have constant repetitive use of both feet and both hands.
  • The team member will have constant light and firm/strong grasping motions.
  • Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
  • Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

Work Environment

  • Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others.
  • Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around mechanical and other electrical devices.
  • Team Member may be around flame/heat generated devices.
  • Team member may have to work in confined areas, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions as well as around dirt/dust, moving objects, high places, and slippery surfaces.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud at times and possible exposure to vibrations.
  • Team Member may be exposed to solvents/oils, fumes/odor, and/or secondhand smoke.
