Staffing Specialist

About the role

A well-established facilities services organization supporting clients across the New York Tri-State area is hiring a Bilingual Staffing Specialist to support high-volume recruiting and onboarding for field-based operations teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced recruiting, coordinating interviews, and helping employees successfully onboard into essential workforce roles.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and screen candidates for facilities and janitorial roles supporting Long Island client sites
• Conduct initial candidate interviews and coordinate next steps with hiring managers
• Schedule interviews based on active staffing needs and hiring volume
• Support new hire onboarding, orientations, and employment documentation
• Process background checks and ensure hiring compliance requirements are met
• Maintain employee and applicant data within internal systems
• Monitor union documentation and onboarding requirements
• Partner with Payroll and HR teams to resolve onboarding or employee issues

Requirements

• Bilingual English/Spanish (required)
• 1-2+ years of recruiting, staffing, or HR coordination experience
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced hiring environment
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
