About the role
As a Skilled Trade Search Consultant, you will help companies find the best talent for their organizations, impacting their productivity and profitability. You will also assist individuals in finding the right employers to thrive. The role is primarily remote, with in-office visits once every 2-3 weeks in Norridge, IL, and client visits within the O'Hare, Schaumburg, and Des Plaines areas.
Responsibilities
- Identify client prospects in need of Randstad’s Skilled Trade permanent workforce services & solutions (e.g., Maintenance Mechanics, CNC Operators, Warehouse Managers) (30% of the day).
- Effectively source, recruit, pipeline, interview, and select candidates (70% of the day).
- Serve as the main point of contact and build strong relationships with hiring managers.
- Create partnerships through various channels of communication with key decision-makers.
- Execute activities that drive results, including calls, sourcing, interviewing, and on-site client meetings.
- Listen to diagnose workforce gaps limiting a client’s potential.
- Negotiate pricing to ensure maximum return on quality solutions.
- Offer innovative and creative employment solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-4 years of proven B2B sales experience (staffing industry sales is a strong asset).
- Strong history of excelling in past roles.
- Technical competency and the ability to connect with others.
- Track record of delivering results in a sales metrics-driven environment.
- Experience and quick adaptability using digital tools and Google Suite applications.
- Passion for results, resilience, self-confidence, and a desire to excel.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required).
- Natural curiosity and relentless determination to make things happen—you like to win.

Pay
Permanent salary and bonus potential: $60,000–$70,000/year, with bonuses ranging from $200–$15,000/month. Pay is based on education, work experience, location, job duties, and certifications. Non-exempt employees are paid hourly, with a pay rate equivalent to $43,496–$67,999 annually. Total compensation may include variable pay such as bonuses and/or commissions.
