Staffing Coordinator (CMT)

About the role

We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to manage and maintain nursing staff schedules, ensure appropriate shift coverage, and support smooth daily operations within our long-term care facility. This role plays a key part in resident care by making sure the right staff are in the right place at the right time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage nursing staff schedules
• Ensure shift coverage for call-offs, vacations, and holidays
• Verify timecards and support payroll accuracy
• Maintain schedule records and update staff assignments
• Assist with new hire scheduling, training coordination, and onboarding
• Provide CNA support as needed and respond to staffing inquiries
• Be available for on-call support (facility-issued phone)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active CNA and CMT certification (required)
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term care
• Experience with scheduling or staffing (preferred)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
