About the Role
The Staffing Coordinator is a pivotal team member responsible for orchestrating seamless schedules for healthcare professionals. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care services.
Responsibilities
- Mission, Vision, and Values Alignment: Maintain Serengeti Care Partner’s Mission, Vision, and Values by establishing trusting partnerships with stakeholders and embracing the organization’s guiding principles.
- Caregiver Coordination:
- Collaborate with caregivers to ascertain availability, preferences, and skills, ensuring appropriate client assignments aligned with care plans.
- Coordinate caregiver schedules to align with client care plans, continuously evaluating and adjusting for efficiency.
- Communicate clearly with caregivers regarding client care expectations, special needs, or protocols.
- Staffing Management:
- Utilize the automated scheduling system to optimize staff allocation based on client needs, staff availability, and skillset requirements.
- Generate scheduling reports to identify opportunities and resolve conflicts, overtime, or challenges.
- File and organize scheduling-related documentation systematically for easy access and reporting.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with site administrative tasks and support the Branch Manager with hiring and onboarding functions, including creating caregiver profiles and obtaining required documents.
- Support the Payroll team by processing missed punches when received in writing by a caregiver.
- Act as a backup to Client Care Coordinators and Caregivers during emergencies or absences, including managing new client intakes and assessments.
- Continuous Improvement and Development:
- Establish a feedback loop with the Branch Manager to suggest process improvements.
- Participate in educational programs, including leadership meetings, workshops, and continuing education.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance office operations and client care quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Language: Intermediate ability to communicate effectively, read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents and correspondence.
- Math: Intermediate math reasoning skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculation of figures.
- Reasoning: High ability to reason logically, solve practical problems, and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Technical Aptitude: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive, SharePoint) and ability to train in various systems and office equipment.
- Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in office administration or related field preferred.
- One of the following certificates required: Home Care Aide (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- At least two years of staffing experience required.
Working Environment and Physical Requirements
The role is performed in a fast-paced office environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures, moderate noise levels, cleaning chemicals, and airborne particles. Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions may occur.
- Ability to see color and have clear vision at 20 inches or less.
- Ability to regularly sit, utilize hands and fingers, reach, talk, hear, stand, lift, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to safely and conscientiously carry at least 50 pounds without assistance, adhering to safety and lifting protocols.
- Ability to frequently balance, kneel, climb, stoop, and crouch.
Schedule
Hours may fluctuate depending on organizational needs. Corporate office hours are Monday-Friday. Occasional overtime (OT) may be required.
