About the role
Responsible for keeping our nursing department fully and appropriately staffed.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the nursing department's master schedule, including holiday rotations
- Fill open shifts by contacting staff directly, using a fair call rotation to limit overtime
- Coordinate with staffing agencies to cover gaps and verify agency invoices for accuracy
- Review applications and schedule interviews for CNA candidates
- Track attendance, PTO requests, and timeclock corrections
- Respond to on-call staffing needs after hours as coverage issues arise
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior scheduling experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting
- CNA certification
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and scheduling software
