The Angell Animal Medical Center (AAMC) in Boston, MA is seeking applicants for a licensed veterinarian to join our robust Internal Medicine practice.

Who We Are

Angell is part of the MSPCA, one of the oldest and most respected humane organizations in the world. Angell has served the greater Boston and scenic New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center for 100 years. We are part of a premier veterinary institution staffed by 60 senior veterinarians, 25 interns, and 15 residents. At Angell we practice within an 80,000 square foot, state-of-the-art hospital containing a critical care unit, blood bank, multiple specialty rooms, 6 surgical suites, electrodiagnostic equipment (Cadwell, Nicolet), full service clinical laboratory, and histopathology laboratory for on-site biopsy evaluation. Intra-operative surgical biopsies can be processed via cryomicrotome. AAMC's Diagnostic Imaging Center, supported by 3 board-certified radiologists, has a new state-of-the-art 16 slice Toshiba CT, a brand new 1.5 T MRI, and C-Arm for fluoroscopic imaging.

The Position

Our Internal Medicine service prides itself on being comprised of dedicated, collegiate, and compassionate team players. We collaborate closely with all of Angell's specialty services including diagnostic imaging, emergency and critical care medicine, surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, nutrition, medical and radiation oncology, ophthalmology, anatomic and clinical pathology, dentistry, acupuncture, anesthesiology, avian and exotic medicine, behavior, cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, dermatology, and physical rehabilitation. In addition to seeing appointments, our internists perform endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures, interventional procedures such as tracheal and urethral stenting, I-131 treatment, and manage continuous renal replacement therapy (Prismaflex CRRT and Carpe Diem) and hemoperfusion. We are vitally involved in didactic training and leadership of residents and interns assigned to the service. We also pride ourselves on maintaining long-lasting and active relationships with other primary care hospitals in Boston and the surrounding area.

We also can take part in Angell's rich educational offerings including weekly on-site continuing education seminars and regular multi-disciplinary specialty rounds. Requirements

• Full time, board certified internist
• DVM or better
• MA Veterinary License

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with interventional and extracorporeal therapies
• Ultrasound experience
