About the Role

Collins Aerospace, a leader in technologically advanced, intelligent solutions for the aerospace and defense industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering NDT Technician for the Heated Composites product line. This role offers the opportunity to learn procedures and strategies associated with process improvements in a team-based aerospace environment, with potential progression to project management and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive bond testing (level 1 limited)
  • Program NDT test equipment
  • Create and maintain manufacturing instructions
  • Maintain manufacturing bill of materials and routers
  • Create engineering change orders and manufacturing change orders
  • Develop manufacturing process improvements to enhance capacity and throughput
  • Work autonomously with limited supervision within a team and alongside production personnel
  • Influence others in the work area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices

Requirements

  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), with preference for Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Ability to maintain and improve product profitability and yield, reducing SRR and operating costs
  • Experience developing and implementing production manufacturing instructions using technical writing skills
  • Proficiency in testing and reviewing products using nondestructive test methods specific to bond testing, including programming test equipment and reviewing test reports
  • Ability to modernize the Heated Composites manufacturing process to reduce labor times, increase productivity, and reduce reliance on WIP and inventory

Pay

The salary range for this role is $53,100 - $100,900 USD. The range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
