About the Opportunity

The Staff Technical Program Manager on the Ads TPM team within the Technical Program Management Office (Tech PMO) will lead cross-functional initiatives in the Ads Monetization engineering space. This role involves driving technical programs across multiple engineering teams, partnering with engineering leaders to prioritize, assess tradeoffs, and manage risks. The position is key to accelerating and scaling technical efforts that impact the organization's advertising products.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end leadership of highly complex, cross-functional technical programs that scale the underlying infrastructure and product architecture of Ads Monetization engineering
  • Partner strategically with senior engineering leadership to rigorously evaluate program prioritization, negotiate resource tradeoffs, and mitigate systemic architectural risks
  • Drive cross-team operational execution to successful completion, ensuring milestones translate into quantifiable, high-impact business outcomes
  • Engage directly with core engineering groups, leveraging strong technical judgment and software background to guide technical discovery, system planning, and architecture design choices
  • Diagnose engineering friction points, developing and refining scalable Agile or program management processes to drastically eliminate organizational inefficiencies
  • Mentor, coach, and elevate other technical program managers and team members in high-level system organization, risk modeling, and advanced project delivery strategies
  • Enhance global team structure and establish sustainable organizational frameworks that persist independently beyond individual project timelines

Requirements

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive, combined experience across hands-on software/systems engineering and enterprise-scale technical program management
  • At least four (4) years of deep, dedicated experience explicitly focused on digital ads platforms, ad tech infrastructure, or complex ads monetization products
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and cross-functional influencing abilities across both deeply technical teams and executive leadership tiers
  • Highly collaborative mindset with a proven ability to bridge gaps, build consensus, and work fluidly across diverse organizational layers
  • Proactive, intellectually curious, and creative approach to diagnosing and resolving intricate software and process bottlenecks
  • Pragmatic, velocity-focused style with a strong preference for iterative system building, continuous integration, and incremental delivery
  • Strong technical baseline and sound judgment, allowing for meaningful technical peer reviews with principal backend and infrastructure engineers
  • Robust data-driven analytical skills with a rich background navigating large-scale distributed systems and high-throughput data pipelines

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Target baseline salary framework: $194,600.00 to $272,400.00 USD annually. Final base positioning within this senior band is dynamically calibrated against the candidate's core ad-tech engineering acumen, platform specialization, and geographic or localized marketplace structures. This leadership position is highly eligible for an attractive equity package structured as Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) to align with long-term company growth. Potential eligibility for performance-based commission structures depending on final team assignment and specialized monetization scope.
