Staff Systems Engineer - Level 5

About the role

Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Sector is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer – Level 5 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA.

Responsibilities

• Work scope covers a range of Systems Engineering disciplines and products including requirements & verification, interfaces, architecture, DOORS administration, and design
• Support development of verification planning/products, test requirements, and other key products
• Aid in preparation and execution of milestones
• Collaborate with Space Vehicle Systems Engineering and Ground SEIT as well as engage with multiple working groups and control boards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12+ years of engineering experience
• OR Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 10+ years of engineering experience
• OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8+ years of engineering experience

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have the willingness and ability to obtain and maintain active SCI access prior to start date. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to the candidate’s maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.

• Systems engineering fundamentals
• Prior spacecraft project experience
• DOORS, CAMEO, and MBSE knowledge & proficiency
• Advanced user in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Pay

Annual salary range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00
