About the role

Provides emotional support to employees to address the unique work-related stress that comes with working in pediatric healthcare. They offer support for compassion fatigue, grief/loss, burnout, etc. Staff Support Liaisons works alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide education and training for resiliency and wellbeing in the healthcare environment. The Staff Support Liaison is assigned to one or more locations and provides emotional support for employees that work within that location. Staff Support Liaisons conduct one-on-one consultations, emotional wellness workshops, and engage in regular rounding of their site as some of their primary responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual and team support to employees during periods of crisis to promote resiliency.
  • Serves as a referral and connection to the employee assistance program for staff.
  • Serves as a liaison for Strong4Life programming.
  • Organizes and facilitates retreats, special events, memorials, and other staff-related special event services.
  • Serves as a resource to various Children's departments for planning and organizing special services and supporting departments during high acuity periods.
  • Maintains knowledge of wellness trends and integrates best practices into programs.
  • Reports program data and recommends opportunities for improvement.

Experience

  • 2,000 hours of experience as a chaplain after completion of all Clinical Pastoral Education units or
  • 3 years of experience as a mental health professional

Education

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Behavioral Health or
  • Master's degree in Divinity from an accredited graduate school of theology or equivalent and 1 year of Clinical Pastoral Education from an accredited program

Preferred Qualifications

  • Association for Professional Chaplains certification or eligible
  • Experience in employee wellness

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience facilitating support groups
  • Public speaking and presenting on emotional wellness topics
  • Ability to provide one-on-one emotional support
  • Adheres to confidentiality and therapeutic boundaries
