Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the resolution of problems involving the integration of suppliers’ products and services into Beckman’s manufacturing processes.
• Drive Root Cause Investigation and Corrective Actions with Suppliers
• Investigate and analyze technical issues relating to quality, tooling, and supplier manufacturing based on considerable prior experience
• Provide technical consultation to internal and external suppliers for the selection of manufacturing processes.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert related to the assigned commodity(s)
• Review validation reports and/or first article submissions for new supplied components.
• Support Production with rapid communication and resolution of supplier-related issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or related discipline
• 9+ years of relevant experience, primarily focused on the design, manufacturing, and quality of component parts OR Master’s degree in field with 7+ years exp. OR Doctoral degree in field with 4+ years exp.
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a minimum)
• Ability to travel – Up to 25%

Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with techniques such as 5 why's, 8D, pareto analysis, Design of Experiments, DMAIC, and others.
• Self‑starter with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete projects
• Works well with others and is able to coordinate efforts with own and other departments
• Ability to read and interpret design prints
