Staff Software Engineer, Mobile QA

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Mobile QA to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will shape the technical direction for mobile quality assurance as the organization continues to evolve its native app experience. You will build the test infrastructure, strengthen release confidence, and help ensure large-scale platform changes ship with speed and reliability. The position partners closely with engineering, product, and design to define quality standards, rollout readiness, and metrics that support informed decisions. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $218,025 – $286,500 annually Responsibilities Own the technical strategy for mobile QA infrastructure supporting the native app rewrite Build and scale automated test systems for regression testing Lead QA readiness for phased rollout, with a focus on metrics and resources Guide investment in testing resources based on quality gain evaluations Partner with engineering, product, and design on quality dashboards and SLOs Shape the QA onboarding playbook for transitioning product teams Mentor engineers on test architecture and quality standards Qualifications 8+ years of software engineering experience in mobile test infrastructure Expertise in architecting automated regression systems for native iOS and Android Strong proficiency in Swift and Kotlin for test framework architecture Experience managing QA during large-scale migrations and platform transitions Ability to align cross-functional partners on quality standards and release criteria Demonstrated use of generative AI for process improvement with human oversight Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Equity and bonus eligibility Flexible work arrangements Professional development opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
