The Role

Senior Security Engineer at Databricks

Responsibilities

• Identify and address key gaps in infrastructure and services to enhance data security
• Build and attract top talent in the field of data security
• Represent security engineering within the organization and advocate for data-driven approaches
• Participate in academic and industry conferences to share insights and foster collaboration

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Data Security or related areas with expertise in Cryptography, Kubernetes Security, Web Security, Governance, Privacy, Trust, Safety, Authentication, Identity Management, Access Control, Key Management, Inter-Service Authentication, Secure Application Frameworks, Detection & Response
• 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to lead across functional and organizational lines
• Effective communication skills to explain and evangelize Data Security to senior leaders
• Bias to action and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions
• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields
