About the role
You’ll play a pivotal full-stack software engineering role, designing, building, and deploying cutting-edge AI systems. This role requires a deep passion for problem-solving and experimentation, moving across the full range of applied software engineering from initial prototyping to building full-scale, robust solutions. While you will primarily focus on core product development, you will also serve as a critical bridge between cutting-edge AI research and real-world enterprise applications.
What you should have
- BS or equivalent practical experience in computer science, applied math, or a related field
- 6+ years of professional experience designing, developing, maintaining, and releasing production-grade enterprise/business software
- Exceptional breadth and depth in full-stack software engineering, including user interface development and working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Strong proficiency in Python development, with extensive experience in the latest Python toolchains and frameworks, including developing for various platforms (e.g., full-stack web applications, backend services, data pipelines) and LLM Python toolset (Pytorch, Langchain)
- Experience with collaborative software development workflows and platforms including GitHub, agile development/scrum, unit testing, CI/CD, and production operations
- Experience using LLMs to optimize software development processes and workflows
- Experience integrating AI into enterprise software environments including LLMs, RAG, and Foundation Models, with an understanding of agentic behaviors, tool use, and reasoning capabilities
- Experience with deploying and managing applications on major cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) and an understanding of underlying infrastructure primitives (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm charts)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner
- Exceptional organization and planning skills
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically about driving complex initiatives to completion
- Ability to thrive and execute quickly in an environment of change and uncertainty
It'd be great if you also had these
- MS/PhD degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering or a related scientific or quantitative field
- Experience integrating software with complex enterprise legacy systems, including ERP integration (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Experience in startups or small-team environments
- Experience in a leadership, mentorship, or lead engineer role for small technical teams, with a track record of owning outcomes end-to-end
