For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. In this role, you will own core developer infrastructure platforms and help shape the technical roadmap that improves how engineers build, deploy, and operate software at scale. You will partner closely with engineering teams and technical leadership to drive platform migrations, strengthen reliability, and remove friction across the developer experience. The work will have a broad impact on deployment speed, CI performance, observability, and org-wide alignment on infrastructure strategy. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $218,025 – $256,500 annually Responsibilities Own core developer infrastructure platforms throughout their full lifecycle Identify and convert high-leverage problems into actionable technical roadmaps Drive significant improvements in key developer metrics such as deploy speed and CI wall time Lead large-scale platform migrations across multiple teams Enhance reliability within developer infrastructure by managing SLOs and observability Collaborate with engineering teams and leadership to shape technical strategies and support adoption of innovative solutions Mentor engineers through technical processes and provide guidance on design and execution Qualifications 8+ years of experience building and operating production distributed systems Hands-on proficiency in Go or a similar systems language, with a focus on CI/CD and deployment tooling Experience designing and shipping high-impact backend/platform systems that support many engineers Demonstrated leadership on cross-team initiatives, with the ability to shape architectural direction and org-wide alignment Deep expertise in reliability and observability for production systems Strong communication and mentoring skills in design reviews and collaborative environments Experience using generative AI for operational improvements while maintaining human oversight Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution options Equity and bonus eligibility as part of the total compensation package Flexible application policy allowing up to 3 applications within 6 months Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
