Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for major Data Platform projects, from conception to production and ongoing health
• Enhance team productivity: create reusable tools, assist teammates, and elevate team standards
• Contribute code at a high level while enabling others to achieve similar contributions
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business challenges into technical strategies
• Promote decision-making strategies and practical problem-solving to create strong technical solutions for multiple teams

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience driving large, ambiguous technical initiatives from start to finish
• Expertise in distributed systems and data infrastructure at scale, preemptively addressing challenges
• Proven record of enhancing team performance through architectural leadership, design reviews, and mentorship
• Strong technical judgment regarding speed vs. thoroughness and building vs. integrating
• Ability to achieve cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, and business stakeholders without reliance on authority
