Staff Software Engineer, Core Reliability

Responsibilities

• Build and launch reliability projects to enhance service resiliency
• Collaborate with T0/T1 services to improve scalability and reliability
• Securely manage service configurations and secrets at scale
• Enhance canary-based release systems for safer deployments
• Expand deployment capabilities for numerous services and daily releases
• Promote reliability best practices across teams and strengthen company culture

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and managing production services
• Strong skills in system design, coding, and writing high-quality, well-tested code
• Proven abilities in observability, debugging, and performance tuning
• Excellent communication skills for conveying technical topics clearly
• Judgment and willingness to improve any stack layer under pressure
• Experience with reliable, high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Familiarity with tools like Kibana and Datadog
• Knowledge of Ruby, Go, Terraform, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Ability to responsibly utilize generative AI to enhance workflows

Pay

$218,025 – $256,500 annually
