Staff Software Engineer, Backend - FinHub (Ledger)

Responsibilities

• Architect and build backend systems focused on performance and reliability for transaction processing
• Drive strategic direction for complex cross-team projects involving engineering, product, and finance
• Establish architectural standards and best practices for the engineering team
• Mentor and guide senior engineers in technical decision-making
• Collaborate with leadership to shape the team's technical roadmap and address scaling challenges
• Integrate AI in engineering practices to enhance system performance and efficiency

Qualifications

• 8+ years in large-scale distributed systems, with expertise in backend programming (Go, Python, Java)
• Experience designing high-availability, high-performance systems, particularly in ledgering or trading
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers
• Hands-on experience with Go, Kubernetes, and Postgres
• Proficient in applying generative AI responsibly to improve workflows
