Staff Software Engineer

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the identity data model across various aspects like deduplication and re-discovery
• Architect the streaming and batch pipelines using Java, Spark, HBase, and AWS data features
• Design the data contracts to ensure stability and compatibility for downstream teams
• Lead the technical integration of commercial vendor ingestion for third-party SBOM feeds
• Apply AI/ML techniques in relevant areas like data-quality signals and package deduplication
• Utilize AI-assisted engineering tools for coding and data exploration continuously
• Enhance operational reliability through effective alarm management and incident-response leadership

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years at Staff level or equivalent scope
• Deep experience with data-platform engineering at scale
• Strong proficiency in Java or a comparable systems-programming background
• Proven track record with cross-team data contracts encompassing schema design and versioning
• AWS-native operating experience for efficient performance management
• Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations and working with third-party vendors
• Fluency with AI-assisted engineering tools in daily workflows

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually
