About the role
This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco office. Office attendance is required at least twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays for collaboration and connection. There may be additional in-office days for team or company events.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across the company to scope, design, and ship features and systems that meaningfully impact our customers.
- Partner with quality engineers to co-create, evolve, and maintain a thoughtful testing strategy that keeps our product fast, reliable, and resilient.
- Lead technical discussions, share context generously, and mentor teammates through clear, kind feedback and coaching.
- Help grow an inclusive, high-performing team by interviewing and hiring engineers from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
- Build in a modern stack that includes TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform—no need to have used all of these before; we’ll support you as you learn.
Requirements
- At least 7+ years of software experience architecting, building, launching and maintaining complex systems (a formal degree is not required, we are prioritizing industry experience).
- Leadership across teams and a drive towards improving overall technical architecture and achieving company-wide goals.
- Passion for software engineering to build and ship great product.
- Hands-on experience shipping valuable products to production with real user feedback.
- A high bar for quality.
- Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with modern web technologies and cloud platforms.
- Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools.
Skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
