Staff Software Engineer

About the role

Founded in 2010, we are the largest independent record label in the U.S., with a range of music-related services from original content and marketing to distribution and recordings. We have a shared work expectation of 2 days in office per week. Our new office was recently remodeled and we can't wait for you to check it out.

Responsibilities

• Architecture, development, and scaling of backend systems that track and manage finances associated with music projects
• Building and maintaining integrations with third-party financial systems such as BREX, NetSuite, and Bill.com
• Working with modern data pipelines, data warehouses (Snowflake), pipeline orchestrations (Airflow), Python, and DAG development experience
• Partner closely with Finance, Product Managers, Data, and DevOps Engineering
• Deeply embedded in the music industry, supporting major global artists
• Creative environment with musicians and producers on the team
• Brand new office with a world-class studio
• Regular events like studio sessions, city outings, and beach days

Requirements

• Strong understanding of budgeting, expenses, approval workflows, and payment processing
• Huge plus if you have migrated a financial project from a relational data store to a data pipeline

Qualifications

• Experience with modern data pipelines, data warehouses (Snowflake), pipeline orchestrations (Airflow), Python, and DAG development
• Experience with third-party financial systems such as BREX, NetSuite, and Bill.com
• Experience with architecture, development, and scaling of backend systems
