About the role
The Platform & Infrastructure Engineering team is integral to our Data Infrastructure organization, ensuring the availability, reliability, scalability, and security of our data platform. We build and operate foundational systems for data ingestion, transformation, analytics, and AI workloads at scale.
Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of the reliability and performance of our Kubernetes-based data platform.
- Architect and operate highly available, multi-region systems meeting rigorous uptime and latency standards.
- Scale infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, and strengthen security posture.
- Play a central role in building, testing, and managing scalable systems ready for production.
Requirements
- Familiarity with operating data platforms or data-intensive workloads, including distributed processing and streaming frameworks like Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or Flink.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes cluster design, operations, and production troubleshooting.
- Proven track record building and operating robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Argo CD and GitHub Actions.
- Demonstrated experience owning mission-critical systems with high availability requirements (≥99.99% uptime).
- Practical experience designing and operating geo-replicated, active-active, multi-region systems.
- Strong experience building full-stack observability solutions, including metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Helm, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Strong command of system performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization in distributed environments.
- Hands-on experience applying security best practices in cloud-native settings, including secrets management, network policies, and vulnerability scanning.
- Experience working within compliance-driven environments and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, or SOX.
- Background in designing and building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure tooling.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or building highly scalable distributed systems.
- A strong foundation in software design, development, and algorithmic problem-solving.
Skills
- Hands-on experience developing large-scale distributed systems, databases, and backend APIs.
- Practical experience designing and operating geo-replicated, active-active, multi-region systems.
- Strong experience building and owning full-stack observability solutions.
- Proficiency with IaC tooling and automated environment provisioning.
- Strong command of system performance tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
- Hands-on experience applying security best practices in cloud-native settings.

- Base salary range: $207,000 to $275,000.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $207,000 to $275,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation.
