Staff Software Engineer, Applied AI (Forward Deployed)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the growth of the Forward Deployed Engineering team
• Build and maintain robust backend systems for AI/ML
• Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure for ML model deployment
• Autonomously address complex problems to enhance system performance
• Collaborate with ML engineers to integrate advanced technologies
• Engage directly with clients for product development and AI deployment
• Participate in R&D of new tools to improve AI workflows

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with a focus on ML engineering
• Extensive full-stack development experience, especially backend for AI/ML
• Demonstrated client engagement and use case discovery experience
• Strong proficiency in Python and AI model development
• Experience with scalable ML systems and production-grade applications
• Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container management tools
• Experience with MLOps frameworks and DevOps principles

Pay

Compensation: $209,000 – $307,000 annually
