About the Opportunity:The STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER, ANDROID DESIGN SYSTEM role focuses on advancing the company's cross-platform design system and UI architecture supporting multiple products. This position is responsible for building reusable components, enhancing platform capabilities, and establishing frontend patterns that enable efficient delivery of consistent and high-quality user experiences. The role significantly influences frontend development and user interface coherence across the organization. Responsibilities:Expand the cross-platform design system by developing reusable components that accelerate product development while ensuring consistency and quality.Collaborate with product teams, designers, and engineers to align the design system and UI infrastructure with product needs.Enhance performance at scale through contributions to Android architecture, rendering patterns, and development practices.Promote accessibility by building components, tooling, and documentation that facilitate adoption of accessibility best practices.Improve developer experience by contributing to shared tooling, documentation, and platform enhancements. Requirements:Minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience with leadership in cross-functional projects impacting broad product areas.Proven experience in building and maintaining shared UI infrastructure such as design systems or component libraries.Strong proficiency in modern Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, including UI architecture and performance optimization.Familiarity with accessibility best practices and interest in supporting accessible experience delivery.Ability to embrace ambiguity, seek feedback, and continuously improve both personal craft and platform quality.
