About the role
Join Truewind as a Staff Software Engineer to architect and build the future of AI-powered financial workflows. You will work directly with the founders in San Francisco, shaping both technical foundations and product strategy.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop complex software solutions that leverage LLMs and vector databases to automate traditional bookkeeping and finance processes.
- Collaborate directly with founders to define the product vision, strategy, and technical roadmap while managing infrastructure for distributed, data-intensive systems.
- Lead and mentor a growing team of engineers and data scientists, establishing the technical standards and practices required for world-class product delivery.
Requirements
- At least 11 years of professional experience building production web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and frameworks like Next.js, Nest.js, or Express.
- Deep expertise in architecting data-intensive distributed systems and working with relational databases like PostgreSQL to handle mission-critical financial data.
- Strong background in early-stage startups or founder experience, with a passion for innovation and a preference for building LLM applications using OpenAI APIs.
Qualifications
- Experience with LLMs and vector databases.
- Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript and frameworks like Next.js, Nest.js, or Express.
- Experience with data-intensive distributed systems and relational databases.
- Leadership and mentoring experience.
