About the role

The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, and supports scalable cloud-native software solutions. Working closely with Product Management, Systems Engineering, and Solution Architecture, this role owns features end-to-end—from engineering specifications through production deployment—delivering secure, reliable, and maintainable software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack applications using Java/Spring Boot, Vue.js, and Python/FastAPI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine engineering specifications and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Build and operate cloud-native applications on AWS using Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Develop secure, scalable APIs and software following engineering standards and best practices.
  • Apply AI throughout the AI-Assisted (Agentic) SDLC to accelerate implementation, code review, testing, debugging, and documentation while validating all AI-generated outputs.
  • Contribute to engineering automation, continuous improvement, and AI-enabled development practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience developing cloud-native software applications.
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, Vue.js, React, Angular, PostgreSQL and Python/FastAPI.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, modern software design, Agile development, and engineering best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience working within an AI-Assisted (Agentic) SDLC, using AI to generate production-ready code, validate automated tests, identify and remediate defects, and improve software quality while exercising sound engineering judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.
  • Experience with GCP or multi-cloud environments.
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Spec-Driven Development or specification-first engineering.
  • Experience creating AI agents, engineering automations, or AI-enabled developer workflows.

Pay

Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. The base pay range for this position is:

  • Colorado: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 - $154,000.00 annually.
  • All other states: Geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges, so each location may have a different range.

This position is also incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved.
