Staff / Senior Staff Software Test Engineer

About the role
This is an on-site position in Boulder, CO, supporting programs delivering Next-Generation Missile Warning software. You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI pipelines (GitLab CI) for automated testing
- Orchestrate automated testing across development and test environments using Kubernetes and Helm
- Execute tests and support test execution in multiple environments
- Develop test automation suites
- Participate in test engineering artifact reviews
- Conduct performance analyses, risk analyses, and trade studies
- Maintain test documentation in accordance with management procedures
- Complete assigned tasks to meet program schedule milestones
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD security clearance
- 3 years of experience in software test engineering roles and functions
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience with testing Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) processing systems
- 1 year of experience in software development or test automation (preferably in Python)
- Experience with formal requirements verification for Government programs
- Experience working within AWS cloud services and environments
- Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks for cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with Python, CI/CD tools, container orchestration with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- An active DoD security clearance

Pay
The pay range for this position is $102,000 - $157,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
