Staff Security Analyst

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Security Analyst to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will help strengthen the organization’s security posture through hands-on incident response, threat detection, and proactive hunting. The ideal candidate will partner closely with engineering teams to improve controls, reduce risk, and enhance the effectiveness of the overall security program. You will also help establish standards and practices that improve how the security team responds to threats and operational events. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $123,200 – $154,000 annually Responsibilities Lead complex incident response activities, including containment and recovery Design and implement enterprise threat detection capabilities using analytics tools Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify advanced attacker behaviors Develop and maintain detection engineering standards and quality practices Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance security controls and reduce risk Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience 6-10 years of experience in security operations, threat detection, incident response, or related fields Advanced skills in incident response leadership and threat detection engineering Expertise with SIEM, endpoint detection, and cloud security platforms Strong knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and operational workflow optimization Benefits Remote-first work environment Unlimited paid time off 401(k) with employer match Supportive diverse and inclusive company culture Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
