About the role
Care for post-surgical and vascular patients on a progressive care unit, balancing close monitoring with the step-down pace between ICU and general med/surg.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor post-surgical and vascular patients for complications
- Manage drains, wound vacs, and vascular access devices
- Titrate medications and escalate care per rapid response protocols
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management and PT/OT
- Supervise and delegate to LPNs and patient care techs on shift
Requirements
- Current Nebraska RN license or active compact state license
- BLS certification required
- New grads welcome - residency support available
- Comfortable working nights, including every 3rd weekend
