Staff RN - Labor and Delivery (night)

About the role

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute healthcare settings. Partners with patients to help them uncover their own power to be healthy and inspires hope through compassionate, expert guidance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care across the lifespan and care continuum.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-care strategies.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans as needed, and document all interventions accurately.
• Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
• Promote a culture of wellness and empowerment within the community.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in acute care nursing.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to patient advocacy, education, and holistic care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in patient and family education, care coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
