Staff Research Chemist - ASET Lab
About the role
The Applied Science Engineering and Technology (ASET) Laboratory is recruiting for a full-time, temporary staff chemist. This position is supervised by the laboratory director and is primarily focused on analytical support involving ICP-MS, ion chromatography, and LC/MS. Occasional use of other equipment includes NMR, TOC, GC/MS, Orbitrap MS, laser ablation, solvent evaporator, centrifuge, lyophilizer, and other automated equipment. The position also involves working with undergraduate student researchers.
Responsibilities
Supports research projects in environmental and biomedical science, provides student training, and offers analytical services. Works with various analytical equipment and collaborates with student researchers.
Requirements

- Research Professional 2: Bachelor's degree and one year experience in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science, math, business), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Research Professional 3: Master's degree and two years research experience at the postgraduate level in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science, math, business), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
