About the role
Lead quality management activities that support the team’s business goals. Handle quality-related functions for the system side of Light Industrial Business (LIB), including new product development support, oversight of the system verification process, and management of supply chain non-conformances for incoming material.
Responsibilities
- Engineering Change management (ECM)
- Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) management
- Drive quality standards for monitoring and controlling Light Industrial Systems (LIS) products
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor for technicians
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years of quality experience in a high-technology industry, preferably in an electro-mechanical product development, manufacturing, and test environment, particularly in industrial manufacturing/assembly and/or precision machining industries
- Supplier Quality Management methodologies (APQP, PPAP, SCAR)
- New Product Introduction (NPI) stage-gate processes
- Proficient in problem solving techniques/tools (root cause analysis/corrective action, 8D) and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma/DMAIC, Kaizen)
- Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with Statistical/Quality Tools (DOE, SPC, fault tree analysis, FMEA, auditing, cost of poor quality, control plan, safe launch)
- Proficient in data analysis and metric development tools like Power Business Intelligence (Power BI)
- Knowledge of Quality Management System standards (ISO9001)
- Ability to influence and build buy-in to product/process changes and the investment of resources
Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certifications
