Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of conceptual rocket motor design, flight performance and system-level design and analysis, including
- Develop new concepts for use in marketing, proposal, and programmatic efforts that help shape the future of our business
- Present technical solutions and information to engineering organizations, internal and external customers, and to company leadership
- Design and optimize conceptual propulsion elements and vehicles
- Perform trajectory analysis of launch vehicles, missiles, and sounding rockets
- Solve a variety of challenging, often open-ended, aerospace engineering problems
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (STEM) with 12 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 10 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 8 years of professional experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience in solid rocket motor design/analysis areas.
- Aerodynamics and/or loads & environments.
- Launch vehicle CONOPS.
- Active, current U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application.
- Experience in optimization.
