About the role
The Staff Project Controls Specialist will lead project controls processes with the internal project management team to ensure project deliverables are executed within budget and schedule. Key responsibilities include setting up projects in Enterprise Planning & Controls software, analyzing data, creating WBS, developing scheduling and cost reports, and supporting project teams.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain effective scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts for multiple projects.
- Follow project execution plans and participate in engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost control.
- Serve as a point of contact for technical questions from the project team.
- Approve Purchase Orders and Subcontracts for proper coding.
- Interface with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to review project costs and support external audits.
- Review and manage upstream and downstream change orders.
- Develop and present a cash flow report.
- Develop and maintain various levels of schedules and apply logic ties within the schedules.
- Maintain resource loading of schedules and support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
- Create and analyze project scheduling reports and progress curves.
- Perform material takeoffs and quality checks on project controls deliverables.
- Support field audits to validate accuracy of reporting and processes.
- Assist with Project Forensic Analysis.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
- 3 years of direct project controls experience.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour safety certification.
Qualifications
