Staff Product Manager, Search Experiences

About the role

This role will shape the strategy and roadmap for search experiences across a major consumer software platform, with a focus on improving discovery, engagement, and overall product performance. You will partner closely with engineering, research, design, business development, and data science teams to launch and optimize experiences that balance user needs, privacy, and business outcomes. The position requires a strong command of experimentation, analytics, and AI-enabled product thinking to turn insights into meaningful product decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define the product strategy and roadmap for search experiences within a desktop browser product
• Lead experimentation across search entry points and default experiences
• Establish success metrics with Data Science and translate insights into action
• Collaborate with Business Development on search partnerships and product execution
• Work with Engineering, Research, and Design on innovative search prototypes
• Navigate trade-offs between user experience, privacy, and revenue impact
• Contribute to strategic planning by identifying risks and opportunities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in user-facing or revenue-impacting roles
• Experience with search, AI/ML-powered products, or related fields
• Strong knowledge of contemporary AI capabilities and their implications for products
• Proven track record leading experimentation and achieving measurable business goals
• Fluency in product analytics tools and SQL for informed decision-making
• Experience directing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
• Ability to balance user needs, privacy, and business goals

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $163,000 – $218,000 annually
