About the role

We are seeking a Staff Product Engineer to lead the technical direction for our new product(s). This role will involve setting and executing on long-term technical roadmaps, driving the development of innovative AI-native developer tooling, and ensuring production outcomes meet high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the architectural direction for our new product(s).
  • Translate business and product strategy into long-term technical roadmaps and execution plans.
  • Drive the development of these products from 0-1.
  • Accountable for production outcomes, including reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Mentor senior engineers and act as a force multiplier.
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces where both the problem and the solution need to be defined.

Requirements

  • Expertise in building products that customers love.
  • Experience setting and leading the technical direction of a product from early stages to industry recognition.
  • Strong understanding of coding agents and their applications.
  • Track record of influencing and shaping technical direction as an individual contributor.
  • Effective communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to engineers, leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven track record of success in similar roles.
  • Experience with AI-native developer tooling.

Skills

  • Strong technical leadership skills.
  • Experience with product development and architecture.
  • Ability to influence and shape technical direction.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
