Staff Product Designer, Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Craft reusable component and pattern definitions to support a diverse range of use cases.
• Identify inconsistencies and deviations from the existing design system and work collaboratively with teams to ensure alignment and adoption of a consistent set of components and patterns.
• Collaborate with developers to implement and quality check components.
• Craft component and pattern usage guidelines.
• Enforce processes to guide the appropriate usage and upkeep of the design system.
• Champion the value and advantages of the design system to internal stakeholders, advocating for its adoption within our organization, and demonstrating its positive impact on user experience and efficiency.
• Continuously enhance and adapt the design system based on user feedback, industry best practices, and emerging design trends.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a designer, with preferably 2+ years of experience maintaining a design system.
• A portfolio that demonstrates a deep understanding of product design, craftsmanship, and innovative solutions from conception to launch.
• Strong UI design skills with proficiency in Figma.
• Content strategy, HTML/CSS knowledge is a bonus.
• Excellent methodical and critical thinking skills.
