Staff Process Engineer

We would like you based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Responsibilities

• Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific principles.
• Prepares and reviews engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Assists in projects and personnel as necessary to meet both client and SCS expectations.
• Makes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plans and coordinates work, and represents the company at meetings and conferences.
• Performs field work in varied terrain and weather, including but not limited to: surveys/data gathering, construction quality assurance, inspections, system commissioning and startup, etc.
• Handles office-based tasks including but not limited to: designing treatment systems, preparation of project drawings such as PFDs and P&IDs, CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, creating site plans and facility diagrams, permit applications, etc.
• Engages in business development including but not limited to: proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows.
• Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or any other related engineering discipline, is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of process engineering experience required.
• Technical experience in the design of wastewater treatment systems, equipment sizing, piping design, and process controls as well as report preparation, permit coordination, and construction phase services is preferred.
• E.I.T. strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and current engineering design software.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.

Pay

USD $78,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
