Staff Physician - Pediatric Neurology

Location: Hershey, PA

About the Role

Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, Division of Pediatric Neurology is recruiting a Pediatric Neurologist to join a busy division with 7 physicians and 2 NP/PAs. The division offers a full complement of ancillary staff including excellent administrative support, nursing support, case management, dietician, and neuropsychology support.

• Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with 2 inpatient beds
• Participation in fellow, resident, and medical student education
• 4 Neurophysiology trained epilepsy physicians and 1 neuromuscular physician
• Multidisciplinary programs in Neuromuscular Medicine (EMG/NCV Lab), MDA Clinic, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Clinic, Ketogenic Clinic, Neurofibromatosis Clinic, and PPMD Certified Duchenne Center
• Unique patient populations including refugee populations, the largest Amish community in the U.S., and the Milton Hershey School
• Academic rank commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric neurology care within a multidisciplinary team
• Participate in education of fellows, residents, and medical students
• Engage with specialized clinics and programs as part of the division

Requirements

• Board-certified (or Board eligible) Pediatric Neurologist
• M.D., D.O., or non-US equivalent
• Licensed to practice in the State of Pennsylvania (or willing to acquire license)
• EEG proficiency preferred but not required
• Interest in research is supported but not required
