Staff Physician- Pediatric
Essential Job Duties
- Manges patient medical care including diagnosis, treatment, and follow up.
- Maintains appropriate documentation on patient clinical records.
- Participates in GLBHC Quality Assurance activities as assigned.
- Assists in the establishment of appropriate fee schedule, expense budgets, and program plans.
- Directs medical support staff.
Marginal Job Duties
- Assists in marketing and public relations, including recruitment of providers as needed.
- Performs other functions relating to GLBHC medical program as may be required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by President/CEO and Chief Medical Officer.
Education: M.D. or D.O. from an accredited Medical School and be able to produce evidence of such.
Licensure: Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Michigan. Possesses valid DEA license. Board Eligible. Board Certified preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years in underserved area preferred.
Skills: Diagnostic, therapeutic, interpersonal, organizational.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
Physical Effort: Medium.
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday. Flexible and varied.
Travel: Some travel between sites required. Travel may be required in order to attend pertinent conferences; with travel, lodging, and living costs reimbursed at the existing rate of the corporation.
