About the role
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University California Irvine School of Medicine is seeking a part-time OBGYN Hospitalist to join its faculty. The program is accredited and seeking 1 part-time candidate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clinically excellent, patient-centered, holistic and accessible obstetrical and gynecological care to the women of our community.
- Advance the science of women's health in a meaningful and applicable fashion.
- Train the future leaders in women's healthcare.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and patient privacy issues pertaining to the delivery of health care especially in mental health.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must possess an MD or DO and have a demonstrated career focus in obstetrics.
- A track record of success and highly regarded peer review is expected.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to delegate and empower staff and build strong employee morale.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance.
- Active candidates for this program must be board certified (or active candidates) and shall have ACLS for OB and NRP certification within one year of being hired.
- At least one year of practice exclusive of internship; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- A demonstrated career focus in obstetrics. A track record of success and highly regarded peer review is expected.
