About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Penn State University College of Medicine is seeking an energetic, innovative full-time subspecialty trained Abdominal Imaging Physician to serve as a Chief of Ultrasound. Primary clinical duties for this position include optimizing diagnostic ultrasound protocols, working with other physicians within Penn State Health to standardize protocols across the health system, and being the champion for ultrasound education for radiology residents, fellows, and other learners.

Responsibilities

Other duties will include interpreting diagnostic US, CT, and MRI. Procedural skills in fluoroscopy and virtual colonoscopy are considered an asset, although not a requirement for this position. Administrative time would be granted for the Chief of Ultrasound role.

Requirements

  • Medical degree - M.D., D.O. or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited residency program
  • Licensed for the practice of medicine in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Board certification/eligibility in Radiology
  • Fellowship training in abdominal/body imaging
