Staff Physician

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, and manage chronic conditions.
• Evaluate and modify therapeutic regimens.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment.
• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies.
• Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational and training activities.
• Conduct rounds in medical and infirmary units.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to address patient needs.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO).
• Current unrestricted license as a physician in STATE.
• Current DEA registration in STATE.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in general medicine.
• Strong knowledge of current medical principles and practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
• Integrity, professionalism, adherence to a Code of Conduct, and compliance with facility policies.
• Pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening.
