Responsibilities
- Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, and manage chronic conditions.
- Evaluate and modify therapeutic regimens.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment.
- Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies.
- Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational and training activities.
- Conduct rounds in medical and infirmary units.
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to address patient needs.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Current unrestricted license as a physician in STATE.
- Current DEA registration in STATE.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine.
- Able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
- Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in general medicine.
- Strong knowledge of current medical principles and practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.
- Integrity, professionalism, adherence to a Code of Conduct, and compliance with facility policies.
- Pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening.
