About the role

Harbor Health Services is an innovative, growing, mission-based organization serving over 34,000 patients in Boston, the South Shore, and Cape Cod. We operate two Programs for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly and a WIC Nutrition Program. We are seeking a Full Time Family Medicine Physician to join our team at the Harbor Community Health Center-Plymouth.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a primary care provider for a panel of patients, organizing and managing their care.
  • Performs routine health maintenance, including complete history and physicals, developmental assessments, risk assessments, cancer screenings, and health promotion education.
  • Manages chronic illnesses and acute illness, providing timely and expert care.
  • Provides or arranges for appropriate patient education regarding self-management of chronic illnesses.
  • Participates in an on-call system and evening/weekend/holiday clinic schedules to provide face-to-face care and clinical services.
  • Attends provider staff meetings, departmental meetings, and other training sessions.
  • Supervises mid-level practitioners and reviews problem cases, providing teaching and updates to the electronic medical record (EMR).

Requirements

Required:

  • Completed accredited physician residency in Family Practice.
  • Current Massachusetts MD, DO license, DEA, Mass Controlled Substance Registration, CPR/BLS.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible.
  • Computer literate in MS Office, Windows, and EMR.

Preferred:

  • Experience with a community health center population and practice setting.

Qualifications

Completed accredited physician residency in Family Practice.

Board Certified/Board Eligible.

Computer literate in MS Office, Windows, and EMR.
